1. What is the Stanbic Uganda Graduate Fellowship Programme?
The Stanbic Uganda Graduate Programme is a rigorous 12-month program designed to create job opportunities for high potential young professionals who have recently graduated from university. It is aimed at accelerating the graduate’s capability and time to performance.
2. Who can apply for the trainee programme?

To be considered, an applicant should be, 

  1. A Ugandan Citizen
  2. Completed undergraduate program between 2020 & 2023
  3. For anyone graduating in 2023, you must have completed school by September 2022 i.e., awaiting graduation
  4. Graduated with a 4.0 GPA or above, (First Class and High Second upper)
  5. Less than 2 years’ work experience
  6. Any field of study related to our business units is preferred
  7.  Persons with disability encouraged to apply
3. How long is the Trainee Programme?
The Graduate program is 12months long.
4. Is it open to Ugandan graduates who received their university degrees from outside Uganda
Yes, it is open to any Ugandan citizen regardless of where they received their university degree.
5. Is it open to foreigners living in Uganda?
No, it is only open to Ugandan citizens

8. What happens after completing the Trainee Programme?
Following the 12-month program, we would like to retain as many graduates as possible and any graduate who joins the program will be guided by our performance management system during the program
9. Is the Trainee programme experience limited to Stanbic Bank?
The successful fellows will be attached to any of our subsidiaries in line with their career growth aspirations. Our subsidiaries include Stanbic Business Incubator, Stanbic Properties, SBG Securities and FlyHub.
10. Is it a paid Trainee Programme?
Yes, this will be a fully paid graduate program with successful candidates receiving a competitive salary and full benefits during the 12-month program
11. Do I pay to apply or gain admission?
No, Stanbic Bank will never ask for payment at any stage during our recruitment process
12. How transparent is the application process?
The selection process will be a fair & transparent one including y structured interviews & assessments focused on various psychological elements including key skills required for successful entry to the world of work.
13. Can I drop out of the Trainee Programme?
We don’t always know where life will take us, however the wellness of all employees at Stanbic Bank is important to us & so graduates will have access to a range of benefits and should anyone feel the need to drop off the program we will guide and support this journey as well.
14. Is the Trainee programme a fulltime role?
Yes, this is a full-time position and any graduate who commits to the program will need to have completed the academic (study) portion of their university program.
15. Can persons with a disability apply?
Yes.
